NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Republican presidential candidate Senator Marco Rubio will be in North Texas on Friday.

Rubio announced that after the GOP Presidential Debate last week, the politician wants to rally with supporters in Dallas and share his vision for "a new American century."

Rubio has recently criticized Texas Senator Ted Cruz after a campaign spokesperson tweeted a story that falsely alleged Rubio insulted the Bible. Cruz asked the staffer to resign on Monday. Rubio called the move "incredibly disturbing," and characterized it as part of a "pattern" of "deceptive and untrue" tactics that he believes have come to define the Cruz campaign.

The North Texas rally for Rubio is set for February 26 and will be held at Klyde Warren Park. The event begins at 9:00 a.m. Those wanting to attend are urged to RSVP online. Registration at the door will be allowed depending on the number of people already in attendance.
