Power Restored To Collin County Courthouse

McKINNEY (AP) -- Power has been restored to a North Texas county courthouse where an electrical outage forced closure for a day.

The Collin County Courthouse in McKinney reopened Wednesday morning.

A message on the county's website says electricity was restored late Tuesday night.

County spokesman Tim Wyatt earlier said the four-story courthouse, where about 300 people work, lost power Monday night. That forced closure of the county courthouse all day Tuesday.

Collin County has a population of more than 850,000.
