DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — Police today are searching for a suspect in the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) shooting.

Two were shot after a fight reportedly broke out just before midnight aboard the light rail in South Dallas Friday night: The first, a 27-year-man was hit in the head and stomach. The second, a 52-year-old man - who had nothing to do argument - was shot in the shoulder.

Police are reviewing video from station cameras; there are no cameras inside the trains. The suspect fled the scene after the conductor stopped the train shortly before the 8th and Corinth station. There were about a dozen people on the train when the shooting occurred.

A DART spokesman told CBS 11 that shootings aboard trains are "extremely rare" and cannot recall it ever happening before.

If you have information on this case, please call the DART police: 214-928-6300.
