Man Shoots, Kills Another At 7-Eleven In Arlington

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - A man in his 20s was shot to death at a 7-Eleven in Arlington Wednesday evening.

It happened at the convenience store in the 2100 block of East Abram Street around 6:30 p.m..

Police said the victim died from a gunshot wound to his chest. The suspected shooter, a man in his 50s, was detained by officers in a parking lot and arrested.

Investigators said that the two men entered the convenience store and engaged in some type of altercation or argument that possibly started in the parking lot. The victim left the location on foot while the suspect exited the store and walked to his vehicle in the parking lot.

Detectives said the older man retrieved a firearm and shot the victim while he was walking in the street.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office will release the identity of the victim once next of kin has been notified. Addtionally, the suspect's identity will be released once he's booked into the Arlington Municipal Jail for murder.
