Police Looking For Teen Who Stabbed 14-Year-Old To Death

Update May 30, 2018 6 PM: Police have arrested the teenage suspect in connection to the death of N'yalah Lightfoot.

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - The search is on by Fort Worth police for a teenage girl who stabbed a 14-year-old girl to death.

Police said an argument between the two girls at an apartment complex on Peyton Lane, near Sycamore School Road turned deadly shortly before 4 a.m. Tuesday.

Paramedics found the victim -- N'yalah Lightfoot -- with fatal stab wounds to her neck and chest when they arrived.

She died on her way to the hospital.

Several teenagers told CBS 11 News that Lightfoot and her killer were friends, but argued often then made up. They said when Lightfoot told her friend that she couldn't spend the night, it angered the girl and she threatened to ruin some of Lightfoot's clothes. When Lightfoot went to retrieve those clothes, the fight broke out and escalated from there.

"They was friends but they used to get into a lot. I think she did it on purpose," said friend Talauria Watson.

One of Lightfoot's family members said the killer ran from the scene.

Police have yet to find and arrest her.
