DALLAS (CBSDFW) - Dallas Police are warning residents about two recent incidents along the Katy Trail.

Police say a woman jogging on the trail last week was confronted by a man as she exited to Reverchon Park, and the man demanded money.

The woman used pepper spray on the man and ran off.

Police say the suspect did not make any threats or display a weapon.

The second incident happened on Wednesday of this week.

Police say two suspects attacked a man who was exiting the Katy Trail near the American Airlines Center, they stole his cell phone.

Police believe the cases probably are not related but they're reminding people on the Katy Trail to be aware of their surroundings, and to try to walk and jog in groups instead of alone.
