FRISCO (CBSDFW.COM) - Crime scene investigators spent much of the day at a Frisco home, a day after a woman's body was found inside.

Police say Anna Moses, 43, was found dead in the home on Wednesday. They have ruled her death a homicide.

The home, located in the 5900 block of Charleston Drive, is owned by Moses, according to public records.

Co-workers at UT Dallas became worried when Moses didn't show up for work where she was an Assistant Director of Strategic Planning and Analysis. Police went to check on her Wednesday morning shortly before 11:00 a.m. and found her dead at the scene.

The victim's blue 2009 Hyundai Sonata had been taken from the home. It was later recovered a few blocks away.

In response to Moses's death UT Dallas released the following statement: "The news of Anna's passing is a shock to the University community. Anna worked at UT Dallas since 2005. She was well liked and respected by her colleagues, and she will be sorely missed."

Loved ones stopped by the home Wednesday as they learned the news.

"Anna was a beautiful, loving, brilliant, funny, kind, interesting woman, very sophisticated, very caring," close friend Donna Ross said, "I can't imagine anyone wanting to harm Anna in any way."

Investigators won't say how Moses died or if there were signs of a struggle or forced entry inside the home. Police describe this as an isolated incident.

"You see detective shows and everything, and it's like, oh that can never happen to me. It happens all the time," neighbor Thomas Gall said.

The Texas Rangers are assisting with the investigation.

Anyone who may have information related to this case is urged to contact the Frisco Police Department at 972-292-6010.
