DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A two-year-old child is the latest victim of what could be described as an epidemic of child drownings in North Texas this season.

Family members of two-year-old Anna Callozo called Dallas Police Saturday night when they couldn't locate the little girl.  By the time police arrived at the home, located in the 7100 block of Larkin Road, the child had been found and pulled from a nearby swimming pool.

Family members said the child had been swimming earlier in the day with other children.  They told police they noticed she was missing while drying off the other children.

Police performed CPR until Dallas Fire Rescue arrived.  The toddler was pronounced dead when she arrived at Children's Hospital.

Child Protective Services has been notified and is also investigating along with Police.  As of now, the incident is classified as an unexplained death.
