ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - A dead body has been found at the University of Texas at Arlington.

UTA police and members of the Arlington Police Department are investigating the death of Christopher Blacknall, 32, found at the University Center, on West 1st Street near a loading dock.

UTA police spokesperson Capt. Mike McCord said investigators don't think the person was a student, member of the university faculty or a campus staff member. "We have reason to believe that this individual was transient and that the cause of death may be related to a medical condition," he said.

There is no word yet on exactly how Blacknall died, but the preliminary investigation doesn't show that the death was a result of foul play. The body was found around 10:30 a.m.

According to McCord, campus activities and functions won't be affected by the discovery and will continue as scheduled.
