Police Seaching For Hit & Run Driver Who Killed 7-Year-Old In Fort Worth

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Fort Worth are investigating a late night hit-and-run accident that killed a 7-year-old boy.

Records show it was around 10:15 p.m. when a person made an emergency call reporting that their "little brother just go run over."

Investigators say the boy was with other children and adults at a family event and was in the crosswalk, near the 3600 block of Wichita Street, when a driver hit him and never stopped.

The little boy, later identified as Nelson Morales, was taken to Cook Children's Medical Center but died from his injuries.

Police say the driver of the vehicle, described as a silver or gray-colored Toyota SUV, at no time tried to render aid.

So far, police have not released a description of the driver.
