SAN ANTONIO (CBSDFW.COM) - Authorities say one person died and five others were injured during a shooting at Rolling Oaks Mall after two men robbed a jewelry store.
San Antonio Police Chief William McManus described the situation as a "robbery gone really, really bad."
The chief said there were two suspects who robbed a jewelry store and two good Samaritans tried to intervene.
One of the good Samaritans was shot and killed by one of the suspects.
The other good Samaritan, who was carrying a licensed concealed weapon, shot and wounded that suspect.
The suspect who was shot was detained by police while the other ran away from the scene. Police say the second suspect fired his weapon as he was fleeing.
Police tweeted the second suspect was captured by police late Sunday evening.
Authorities say a man and woman suffered shooting injuries while two others went to the hospital with non-shooting injuries.
