The suspect's vehicle ended up under a truck carrying Port-O-Potties.

Both northbound and southbound lanes were closed while police investigated.

Wylie Police said they were called to a disturbance around 2:50 p.m. in the 100 block of S. Fifth Street where they found a woman bleeding in the parking lot.

They said her 15-year-old son took her car and led police on the chase.

Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect struck his 40-year-old mother several times in the head with a baseball bat causing severe injuries.

The victim was rushed to Medical City Plano where she is in intensive care.

Chopper 11 flew over the scene earlier Wednesday. The suspect vehicle could be seen wedged under the hauler with several officers standing nearby.

Both vehicles were damaged and debris could be seen underneath the truck.

The front driver's side of the suspect's vehicle appeared to be severely damaged.

A Texas Department of Public Safety vehicle was on scene at one point but no word yet if they were involved in the actual chase.

As of 4:50 p.m. the suspect vehicle was still wedged under the truck at the accident scene.

Accident investigators appeared to be taking photos and documenting the accident.
