Police Arrest 3 Men At SMU For Off-Campus Assault

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Three men were arrested on Southern Methodist University after police say they physically and sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl. Braulio Valencia Hernandez, 35, Antonio Hernandez-Cabrera, 36, and Rogelio Bedolla-Munoz, 57, are charged with aggravated kidnapping.

"This offense does not appear to be related to the criminal assault of a female SMU student that occurred on Sept. 7, 2014," said a Dallas police spokesperson. But he did say: "A very violent assault took place in that van."

SMU police officers say they stopped the men who drove onto campus early Tuesday morning after they were seen driving erratically.

The officers saw a woman jump out of the van. She alleged that the three men assaulted her somewhere in Dallas after she accepted a ride from them.

The officers then quickly arrested the occupants of the van on Bishop Boulevard and held them until Dallas Police arrived.

The victim, who isn't affiliated with SMU, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Dallas Police are investigating the case.

Dallas Police will provided additional information via social media as it becomes available. This is a developing story, please check back with CBSDFW.COM or watch CBS 11 News for updates.
