Plano Police Seek Suspected Bank Robber With 'Strong Body Odor'
PLANO (KRLD) -- Police are searching for a suspected bank robber characterized by a strong body odor in Plano.
Investigators say the suspect robbed a Wells Fargo Bank inside a Tom Thumb grocery store on West Parker Road on July 7 around 2:45 p.m.
Police say the man, estimated at 18 to 22 years old, walked into the bank and passed a note to the clerk demanding money. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect fled the location on foot in an unknown direction.
He's described as a white male standing 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-6 with a heavy build. He also has curly brown or red hair and acne.
The clerk tells police the suspect acted nervous, had a strong body odor, and wore glasses.
"We don't know if they glasses he's wearing is a normal look that he has about him or if it's just something that's designed to disguise his identity," said Plano Police Officer David Tilley.
He was last seen wearing a dark-blue patterned polo-style shirt, dark pants, white shoes and a brown and green baseball cap featuring an unknown logo.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Plano Police Department Tip Line at 972-941-2148 or the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 877-373-8477.
Crime Stoppers tipsters may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of a person with an active felony warrant or information that leads to a felony arrest and indictment.
