PLANO (CBSDFW) - UPDATE: The man has voluntarily surrendered to police and has been taken into custody.

Police and SWAT units are in a virtual standoff with an alleged armed man in Plano early this morning.

According to Plano police, a panicked woman called saying her husband shot at her car early Wednesday, striking it several times, following an argument.

The couple live in a large apartment complex near Legacy and Ohio Drive where police have set up their command post. The 40-year-old male is refusing to cooperate with officers at this time.

The woman apparently escaped unharmed.

Ohio Drive is closed in both directions.
