GRAND PRAIRIE (1080 KRLD) - More heavy rain over the weekend caused problems with a sewer line in Grand Prairie on Sunday morning.

Crews are making repairs and cleaning up after the heavy rains caused a sewer line to burst on Hardy Road in Grand Prairie.

Authorities say an estimated 100,000 gallons of wastewater spilled into a tributary of the Mountain Creek Reservoir. The final estimated quantity of the overflow will be reported to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

Vanessa Joseph with the Trinity River Authority says the damage wasn't as bad as it could have been.

According to Joseph, no drinking water has been contaminated.
