AUSTIN (AP) - Gov. Rick Perry is to discussing the state's Ebola prevention efforts with the media after cutting a European trip short to lead that response.

The Republican is having a Friday news conference at the Capitol in Austin, where he plans to announce initial recommendations of a task force he created to better contain infectious diseases.

Perry had been leading a state economic mission to Europe this week and had traveled to London, but canceled planned stops in Poland, Ukraine and Germany to return to Texas on Thursday.

That decision came after a third person in Dallas was diagnosed with Ebola. Two nurses who treated an infected Liberian man who died have now fallen ill.

Both women worked at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas.
