DFW AIRPORT (CBSDFW.COM) - A portion of Terminal D at DFW Airport was evacuated due to a suspicious bag for about two hours Friday.

The evacuation in the area near the D30 baggage claim happened around 1:45 p.m.  By 3:40 p.m. investigators determined the bag was not a threat and things were starting to return to normal.

The investigation impacted curbside roadway traffic on the lower level as well as foot traffic in the north ticketing hall.

CBS11's Jack Fink was at the airport.

The airport tweeted the investigation had impacted the Terminal D roadway and north ticketing hall.

A passenger at Gate 37 tweeted CBSDFW that she had not been impacted by the commotion.

Arriving passengers' baggage destined for the north baggage claim were redirected to the south baggage claim.
