MESQUITE (CBSDFW.COM) - An ambulance crashed after a collision with a passenger vehicle at the intersection of Highway 80 East and Belt Line Road late Tuesday morning.

The ambulance was on the way to a routine call when the passenger vehicle swerved to get through the intersection, and crashed into the ambulance. The ambulance was tipped on its side and remained that way until righted by a tow truck. The empty ambulance had only the two paramedics, and the driver was the only person in the car.

No one was injured.

So far, no charges or citations have been filed. Mesquite police continue to investigate the incident.
