DALLAS(CBS11) - Two men had to be rescued from the roof of a car Monday evening, after driving into high water.

Days after the last rainfall, almost a dozen roads in Dallas remain closed Monday night due to flooding.

The men were driving down Middlefield Road, near Dowdy Ferry Rd in Southeast Dallas, when they plunged into flood waters.

They crawled onto the roof of the car and dialed 911. Firefighters had to use a boat to reach them.

The city of Dallas is urging drivers to heed barricades and warning signs.
