DALLAS (CBSDFW) - The smell of smoke still hangs over a White Rock Lake mansion damaged by two fires overnight.

The 6,600 square foot $1.6 million home sits right on the lakefront along Lawther Drive.

According to the Dallas Fire Department, when firefighters fist arrived they found a fire going pretty strong. They doused it and left. But then, about 2:00 a.m. they were called back to the scene of the original fire because the flames had flared up.

Once more, they knocked the fire down. It's not still not clear why it re-started.

There were no reported injuries.
