Teenager dead, two others hurt after shooting in North Fort Worth, police say

Shooting leaves one dead and two others hurt, Fort Worth police say

FORT WORTH – A shooting in North Fort Worth left a 17-year-old dead and two others seriously injured, according to Fort Worth police.

Officers responded to a home on Berrenda Drive near Tudanca Trail just before 3 p.m. Tuesday, near the intersection of I-35W and Basswood Boulevard.

When they arrived, the 17-year-old was dead and two others were hurt. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Jaqualin Houston of Fort Worth. 

FWPD said detectives are investigating the shooting as an attempted robbery where both the victims and the suspects were shot. Police have not yet made any arrests.

Fort Worth officers were also working a second scene nearby on Bernese Lane. it was not immediately clear if the two scenes were connected.
