PRINCETON (CBSDFW.COM) — Officials say two people died and an infant was seriously injured in a crash on a Collin County road Saturday evening.

Highway patrol troopers responded to the crash on FM 3364 near County Road 876 around 7:40 p.m., according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. A Honda car driving west had lost control, slid into the eastbound lane and was hit on the right, passenger side by a Chevrolet pickup truck driving east, the department said.

The driver of the Honda and a female passenger died at the scene. An infant in the car was taken to Medical Center of McKinney with serious injuries, the department said. The Chevrolet driver was taken to a local hospital, but the department said the driver was not seriously injured.

The investigation is ongoing. The department said it is too early to determine causes of the crash.
