FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - Fort Worth police are on the scene of an officer-involved shooting.

It happened early this morning at the Normandale Manor Apartments in far west Fort Worth, near Interstate-20 and Las Vegas Trail.

Police say an off-duty officer working security fired shots at a robbery suspect after he pulled out a box cutter.

The suspect was taken to Harris Methodist Hospital in serious condition.

No word on what led up to the shooting but police were responding to a report of a robbery in progress at a gas station near that same address.
