Temperatures in North Texas Thursday morning are the coldest since February

North Texas experiences coldest morning since late March

NORTH TEXAS – A First Alert Weather Day has been issued for Thursday morning due to the coldest air of the season so far.

North Texas woke up to temperatures in the upper 30s and low 40s, with some areas even seeing patchy frost. As the morning progresses, temperatures will warm into the 50s, followed by a beautiful afternoon with highs in the upper 60s.

Another weak cold front will pass into North Texas again later Thursday, leading to another cold morning on Friday and afternoon highs in the 60s.

Temperatures will warm back up this weekend, withy highs nearing 80 on Sunday.  However, the warmup will be short-lived as another front moves in Monday morning, returning afternoon temperatures to the 60s.

The First Alert Weather Team is watching another system heading towards North Texas just in time for Thanksgiving. There is a small chance of rain on Wednesday, and precipitation is possible on the holiday as well.

The cooler temperatures look to stick around for the first week of December.

Enjoy the sunny skies with chilly mornings and beautiful afternoons.
