WACO (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — A convicted robber has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for the 2013 killing of a Waco teenager.

Aveaon Roshun Anderson, of Duncanville, was sentenced Friday in Waco after pleading guilty to murder and aggravated assault.

Officials believe that Anderson knew the victim, 17-year-old Dhaodrique Eastland. They were allegedly fighting prior to the April 2013 shootings in the parking lot of a "Eddie's Smoke Shop" in Waco. The gunfire left and Eastland dead, and 19-year-old Rahideame "Ray" Washington wounded.

After the shooting, the 23-year-old Anderson fled to Dallas. That is where he robbed and carjacked a man at gunpoint.

Anderson was later charged with evading arrest in a vehicle, and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. He was sentenced to serve 8 years in state prison.
