North Texas Man Dies In Oklahoma Plane Crash

PLANO (CBSDFW.COM) - Federal investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board will be in Oklahoma on Monday to determine what caused a plane crash that killed a 64-year-old man from North Texas.
Charles Fehr was piloting a single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza when he reported losing engine power. Fehr and his wife were both on board the plane bound for Fort Worth Spinks Airport, coming from Springfield, Missouri. The plane came down in a wooded area near Colbert, Oklahoma at around 3:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
Witnesses ran to the scene to see what had happened. "I just heard this loud bang. Turned around and saw just this big cloud of smoke," said Charles Montgomery.
Meanwhile, a helicopter transported the sole crash survivor -- 64-year-old Vicki Fehr -- to Medical Center of Plano. She remains there Monday morning in critical condition.
