North Texas Dominates Nicholls 77-3

DENTON, Texas (AP) — Dajon Williams threw for three touchdowns and ran for two more as North Texas overwhelmed Nicholls 77-3 on Saturday.

Williams, starting his first game for North Texas (2-2), was 11 of 14 for 176 yards passing and ran four times for 68 yards through three quarters. Carlos Harris was his top receiver, pulling in five for 69 yards and one touchdown.

The Mean Green stymied Nicholls (0-4) all day, limiting the Colonels to 244 yards while rolling up 526 total yards. James Jones intercepted a pass on Nicholl's first offensive play of the game. On the next play Williams hit Harris for a 41-yard touchdown to put the Mean Green ahead 14-0. The Colonels put together a 13-play, 69-yard drive and scored on Francisco Condado's 23-yard field goal in the first quarter.

The Colonels were driving in the fourth when Zac Whitfield intercepted and ran 98 yards for a touchdown.
