FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – On this the 14th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, the vow to "never forget" is as is strong as ever across the country. And for one North Texas woman it's personal, and a reason to remind herself how much she lost.

Elizabeth Flagg, 25, lost both her grandfather Bud Flagg and grandmother Dee Flagg on Flight 77 when it crashed into the Pentagon. Her grandfather was a retired American Airlines captain.

Their names are included in a private garden memorial at the American Airlines Training Academy.

Flagg who is now a flight attendant for American Airlines said she chose the job largely in part to continue her grandfathers legacy.

"To be a crew member and have this day touch so many lives but have it specifically touch my family's lives is a really important thing to commemorate," said Flagg.

She was only 11-years old at the time of the attacks but she says the importance of remembering those killed is not lost on her, and she encouraged others to take a moment and do the same.

"I would hope that they would remember all the lives that were lost and the reason why we commemorate and never forget this day."
