Roommate Arrested For Capital Murder

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS (CBSDFW.COM) - North Richland Hills Police have arrested an individual in connection with the murder of Kathleen Downey Olson.

Olson was found in her apartment at 6200 block of Glenview Drive when police went to check on her early Wednesday morning.

Police say Olson, 59 was stabbed multiple times by Julie Marie Peterson, 37.  Police say Peterson had been living with Olson.

Police say Peterson attacked Olson, placed her in the bathtub and covered up the body.

Police also believe Peterson may have removed several items from the residence which belonged to Ms. Olson, including her vehicle.

Peterson was arrested for capital murder and is being held on a $1,000,000 bond.

Police say they do not have a motive at this time.
