NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops says standout running back Samaje Perine will miss at least the next two games with a pulled muscle.

Perine, a junior who has rushed for 475 yards and six touchdowns for No. 16 Oklahoma, was injured early in the 38-17 win Saturday over Kansas State.

Stoops said after the win that Perine could have finished the game, but Monday said Perine "will be out at least two weeks, maybe three." Stoops says the Sooners want to make sure the injury heals properly.

Perine will miss Saturday's game at Texas Tech and a home game against Kansas on Oct. 29.

Joe Mixon, who has rushed for 476 yards and two touchdowns this season, will carry a bigger load for the Sooners, along with freshman Abdul Adams.
