MCKINNEY (CBS11) - Police arrested 44-year-old Larry Combest Wednesday after children in his McKinney neighborhood accused him of touching them inappropriately.

The investigation into Plano Fire Lt. Larry Combest began in December when court documents show a fellow Plano firefighter contacted police with concerns that his co-worker could be inappropriately touching two young boys in his neighborhood.

One of those boys' parents described Combest as freakishly controlling with constant text messages and promises in exchange for coming to his house to play with his own sons.

McKinney Police say Combest would occasionally watch the boys overnight, but a probable cause affidavit says the boys' parents forbid them from seeing Combest after the boys told them he forced them to sleep in his bed and touched them.

After interviews with the victims, McKinney police arrested Combest who was released on bond.

The investigation led detectives to new accusations from a Wylie victim who told police he had been molested nearly ten years ago by Combest.

That led to a new charge of aggravated sexual assault and landed Combest back in jail where he remains in custody.

Larry Combest declined our request for an interview, but his attorney told us by phone he believes his client is not guilty.

He also tells us he believes the Wylie victim's allegations are financially motivated.
