New Dallas County DA: 'I'm A Servant Leader'

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas County's new district attorney says she feels she's exactly the leader the office needs.
Governor Greg Abbott selected Faith Johnson from 11 candidates for the position left by out going DA Susan Hawk.
Johnson says she felt called to apply for the position.
"When I saw what was going on, I said 'Wow, something needs to happen, there has got to be a change, a difference has got to be made.' And I said, 'I can make that difference.' "
She wants all Dallas county residents to know, she is there for them.
"I'm a servant leader and I believe I have the leadership skills to be able to turn this around and make us proud of the office and of ourselves and this county," says Johnson.
Johnson spent 17 years as a state district judge in Dallas and several years as a prosecutor before that. She moved to private practice a decade ago.
