CROWLEY (CBSDFW.COM) - Crowley Police believe domestic violence is to blame for the deaths of four people. Their bodies were found Sunday evening inside a home in the 200 block of Kennedy Drive.
Tuesday night family and friends planned to gather at a nearby park to hold a vigil for the family members that were killed. Xiomara Leon and her 18-year-old daughter, Linda Gonzalez, were shot multiple times.
Her 13-year-old daughter, Yasmine Zavala, was strangled. Police believe all three were killed by Samuel Morales, who eventually turned the gun on himself.
The news has left children in the neighborhood with a lot of questions and parents with very few answers.
At the young age of 13, Ana Romanelli understands that her friend and classmate is gone. She drew a poster for her friend and left it on the doorstep of their home.
"Dear Yasmine. You were my very best friend," Ana read to us. "Dear Yasine. I will miss you forever."
Ana is the same age as the youngest victim, Yasmine Zavala. They lived six houses away from each other and often played together.
"In my opinion, I believe her spirit is still there," Ana said. "When people go to put flowers there, you kind of just feel this thing. And it makes you feel really happy."
Ana's mother hasn't shared the details of what happened inside this house. Instead, she's encouraged them to honor Yasmine and her family any way they feel comfortable.
"All I can do is be there for them. Let them know it's going to be okay. Let them know their friend is there in their heart, and that's where she will stay," Yolanda Romanelli explained.
The Romanelli family plans to attend tonight's vigil for Yasmine and for themselves.
"Basically, for me just closure. My girls will know that everything is okay still," Yolanda added. "That she's still here, just not physically.
