DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Local artist, Ace Cordell says he considers his "Zombie" truck artwork.

"No it's not scary. It's more humorous than anything else. It's Hollywood. It's completely pretend. If you think this is serious, then you need to re-evaluate what you think about our society," he says.

None of the guns or skulls on the black pickup are real.

But the owner of a rental property next door to where Cordell parks it says she doesn't want it parked in front of her house. She thinks the truck fit for any doomsday prepper may scare off potential tenants.

Now messages left between between Cordell and his neighbor are receiving attention on social media. But a no parking zone prevents Cordell from parking in front of his own home.

He says he has a right to park on the public street and will continue to do so, when no other spots are available.
