GARLAND (CBS11) - The Garland Police Department is asking for your help solving a murder mystery.

38-year-old Jamhal Henderson's girlfriend found him shot in the back of the head inside his home in the 2000 block of Cranford Drive on Friday, July 31.

The front yard of Henderson's Garland home is now a makeshift memorial. Signs, flowers, and candles surround the door and a car in the drive-way.

Police say the killer locked the door on the way out of the house. Officers believe it may have been someone Henderson knew, but they have no leads.

Krystal Branham lives near-by. She says she and her neighbors remember seeing Henderson sitting in the front yard with his 3-year-old.

"I know he was a great father. I saw him with his little girl all the time. I just know it is real sad."

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $5000 reward for anyone that has information that leads to an arrest. You can contact Garland Crime Stoppers at 972-272 TIPS (8477) or online.
