MIDLOTHIAN (CBSDFW.COM) - Relatives confirm Terri "Missy" Bevers, 45, fitness instructor and mother of a three girls ages 8, 13 and 15, was found dead Monday morning at the Creekside Church in Midlothian.

Police Chief Carl Smith said Midlothian Police got the call about Bevers found dead inside the church around 5:00 a.m.  Her body was discovered by one of the fitness class participants.

"We want to offer our heartfelt condolences to the family of the victim," said Chief Smith.  "This is a tragic event for all involved, including our community."

Police found evidence of forced entry which makes them think Bevers might have walked in on a burglary.

"The entire building was searched and no one else was found," said Chief Smith.

Investigators are releasing surveillance video of the suspect wearing what looks like "police tactical gear," including a helmet, vest and gloves.

The video only shows the suspect walking through the hallways.

Bevers' brother-in-law says she was at the church early Monday morning to hold a Camp Gladiator fitness class.

There is no evidence any items were taken from the church but there was lots of damage.

"This is an unusual occurrence for our community.  Our first priority is for the safety and well-being of our citizens," says Chief Smith who adds this is the first homicide case in Midlothian in about seven years.

"We are exploring all possibilities," says Chief Smith. "It's just an odd random situation that they would happen to come into a building that's being burglarized on a Monday morning but all scenarios are on the table right now."

Chief Smith isn't saying how Bevers was killed.

Police say they feel like this is an isolated incident.
