North Texas skies clear up after morning storms, flooding
NORTH TEXAS – Strong to severe storms moved over North Texas Wednesday morning, leading to strong winds and an ongoing flooding threat for some.
The weather alert has ended for the day as the heavy rain and storms have moved out of the area and we are not looking at another round of storms Wednesday night.
Although the rain cleared out, continue to watch for flooding and ponding on roadways. Remember to Turn Around, Don't Drown.
Skies will clear from west to east, giving way to afternoon sunshine with highs climbing into the upper 80s. It will feel like the mid-90s.
Dust off the sunglasses, you are going to need them Thursday as a ridge of high pressure briefly builds into the area.
Temperatures will soar into the mid-90s with feels-like temperatures in the triple digits.
Most of us remain sunny and dry into Saturday with an isolated storm possible north along the Red River on Friday.
