More Plane Laser Strikes Reported Near Dallas Love Field

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - For the third time this month, pilots trying to land at Dallas Love Field Airport have been forced to deal with laser strikes hitting their planes.
The FAA reports eight laser strikes from Sunday evening, November 22. Seven Southwest Airlines pilots reported the strikes, plus the pilot of one private aircraft. One of the Southwest pilots sustained eye injuries. A spokesperson for the FAA could not confirm the severity of the injuries.
Dallas Police launched their helicopter to investigate the source of the strikes. The FAA says the most recent strikes came from the same general area as those reported earlier this month, about four miles from the north end of the runway at Love Field.

So far, Dallas Police have not arrested anyone in regards to these crimes, but if someone is arrested and convicted they face stiff punishment. The penalty for pointing a laser at an aircraft is up to ten years in federal prison and a fine of $250,000.
