Moment 3: Smith Leads Cowboys To Title

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Things were not going well for the Dallas Cowboys in their rematch against the Buffalo Bills in the NFL championship game in January 1994. But Emmitt Smith helped change that.
Trailing Buffalo 13-6 at halftime, Dallas rallied for 24 unanswered points.
Cowboys head coach Jimmy Johnson knew that his running back and offensive line could provide the spark to complete the comeback. "When we needed some crucial yardage and points, Emmitt Smith came on strong," Johnson said.
Smith was strongest on a key 64-yard drive in the third quarter. The future Hall of Fame running back carried the ball on seven of the eight plays, picking up 61 yards. "During that whole drive, I was enthusiastic," Smith said after the game. "I was happy I was getting the ball that much."

Smith's 15-yard touchdown run gave the Cowboys a 20-13 lead, and an emotional lift.
Smith rushed for 132 yards and a pair of second-half touchdowns to earn the game's MVP award. The Cowboys celebrated a 30-13 victory, winning back-to-back titles and becoming the fifth team in NFL history to win consecutive titles.
