FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Fort Worth police confirmed that a six-year-old girl who was reported missing early Saturday morning was found alive a few blocks away from her home.

The child was reportedly last seen asleep on a couch in her home at 10:00 p.m. Friday night. She was reported missing after her father noticed the child wasn't on the couch and the front door was open at approximately 4:00 a.m. Saturday.

Police conducted a house-to-house search and later found her alive Saturday afternoon.

Police said the girl was found with no obvious injuries, but she was taken to Cook Children's Hospital as a precautionary.

Fort Worth police said a man was found with the girl when she was located at a park near her home.

Police have the man in custody and are questioning him.
