DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -- Dallas Police are requesting the public's help in locating a mother and her 1-year-old child, who are believed to be in "immediate danger."
Heidi Martinez-Trejo and her son, Carlos, were last seen on Saturday at 4 p.m. in the 9700 block of Webb Chapel Rd.
On Tuesday, the family received a note suggesting that she and her child could be in immediate danger.
Ms. Martinez-Trejo is described as a 28-year-old Latin female standing 5-foot-6 and 130 pounds. She has black hair with blonde highlights and was last seen wearing a pink blouse, black hoody, and blue pants.
Carlos is described as a Latin male, standing 2-feet tall and 30 pounds with black hair. He was last seen wearing a green shirt with a white collar.
Diana Galan, who lives nearby, says the disappearance is disturbing. She's noticed an increased police presence in the area since the family's disappearance.
"I'm a mother and I feel for the family," said Galan. "I feel bad as far as her and her son are missing. I don't know what I would do if my daughter and my grandson came up missing."
Anyone with information about the individuals is encouraged to contact 9-1-1 or Detective G. Curtis at 214-671-4268.
