DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Mr. Ranger, Michael Young, will be inducted into the club's Hall of Fame, the team announced Friday morning.

Young becomes the 20th Ranger to receive the honor.

A pregame ceremony will take place for Young on July 30 when the Rangers take on the Kansas City Royals at Globe Life Park.

Young spent the first 13 years of his career in Texas. He played one final season with both the Philadelphia Phillies and L.A. Dodgers.

Throughout his career, Young had 2,375 hits. All but 145 of them came in a Rangers uniform. He has the franchise record for hits (2,230) and runs scored (1,085).

The seven-time all-star played in a team record 1,833 games from 2000-2012. He captured Rangers Player of the Year honors five times, matching Juan Gonzalez for the most in team history and was selected to the A.L. All-Star team at three different positions. Young batted .300 or better a club record seven times including six seasons with at least 200 hits.

He won the A.L. batting title in 2005 and was the MVP of the 2006 All-Star Game at San Diego. Young is the only player in All-Star Game history with two game-winning hits in his team's final at bat (2006 and 2008).
