Mesquite Police Arrest Suspect In Fatal Twin Peaks Shooting

MESQUITE (CBSDFW.COM) — Mesquite police have arrested a man in connection with the shooting at a Twin Peaks restaurant early Saturday morning that left one man dead.

Police are charging 25-year-old Devoris Arnold with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, the department announced Sunday. Arnold, who is from Dallas, is currently in custody.

Mesquite police responded to the shooting at the Twin Peaks at 18995 Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway around 1:15 a.m. Saturday morning. Police say two victims had been shot: 28-year-old Anthony Cole and 35-year-old Ahmand Williams, both from Terrell. Cole was treated and released from Baylor Hospital. Williams was pronounced dead at Dallas Regional Hospital.

Police are continuing to investigate.
