McKinney Ice Cream Crank Off

It's been 20 years since a man named Killis Melton said "it's too darn hot for a chili cook-off...why don't we have an ice cream event?"

This Saturday will celebrate that cool idea with the "20th Annual Killis Melton's Ice Cream Crank-Off" in Chestnut Square in McKinney.

"We will have lots of kids activities including carnival games and a petting zoo. We'll also have 20 or more flavors of competition ice cream available for tasting by the public," said Jaymie Pedigo, Executive Director of the Heritage Guild of Collin County.

The 20th Annual Killis Melton's Ice Cream Crank-Off kicks off Saturday at 10 am in Chestnut Square in McKinney. JD Ryan is Around Town with your double scoop of fun!
