FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) -- A fire at a motel in north Fort Worth forced guests to evacuate early Wednesday morning.

The fire occurred just after 2 a.m. at the Courtesy Inn on the North Freeway just north of Meacham Boulevard.

There is no official word on what caused the fire, but investigators noted that a mattress had caught fire.

The fire was contained to a first-floor room, in part due to the motel sprinklers.

Firefighters went door-to-door to check on guests and brought fans in to get rid of the smoke.

There have been no reported injuries from the incident.
