Margaret Crow, Wife Of Trammell Crow, Dies At 94
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Margaret Crow, wife of major Dallas-based real estate developer Trammell Crow, died at the age of 94 on Friday.
The two were married for nearly 70 years before Mr. Crow died in 2009.
Mr. Crow was the developer and the founder of the Trammell Crow Company and Trammell Crow Residential Company.
In 1998, the couple opened the Crow Collection of Asian Art in the art district, which attracts around 80,000 visitors per year.
A public memorial will be held at Highland United Methodist Church with date and time still to be determined.
"The Crow family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Margaret and Trammell Crow Chair for Alzheimer's and Geriatric Research at Southwestern Medical Foundation in Dallas, The Trammell and Margaret Crow Collection of Asian Art, or The Hockaday School for Girls," a press release reads.
The president of UT Southwestern Medical Center released this state regarding Mrs. Crow's death:
"Margaret Crow, together with her family, was a generous benefactor and great friend of UT Southwestern Medical Center. We are especially grateful for support provided by her and her late husband Trammell Crow that made it possible to establish the Margaret and Trammell Crow Distinguished Chair in Alzheimer's and Geriatric Research at UT Southwestern.
On behalf of he entire UT Southwestern community, I extend condolences to the Crow family."
