GRAND PRAIRIE (CBSDFW.COM) -- Two adults and a child are recovering after their school bus crashed in Grand Prairie Wednesday morning amid icy conditions.

The Mansfield ISD bus tipped over along Lake Ridge Parkway about 7:50 a.m. The driver and passengers are expected to be fine.

"One of the contributing factors to this accident looks like it was a patch of ice that the school bus hit which caused it to lose control and hit the curb. Once it hit the curb, it kind of flipped over on its side," said Lyle Gensler with Grand Prairie Police.

Gensler says speed was not a factor in the accident, and all parties involved were wearing seat belts.

The three were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
