MANSFIELD (CBSDFW.COM) - Mansfield ISD sent out this good news Tuesday night about Coble Middle School reopening Wednesday:

The electrical wiring to James Coble Middle School has been restored. Mansfield ISD maintenance employees, Oncor, and electric contracting crews have worked tirelessly to bring back power to Coble Middle School after a fire destroyed the transformer and electrical wiring to the school on Saturday afternoon.

The safety of our students and staff will always remain our top priority. Crews have successfully conducted many tests to ensure that electricity to Coble Middle School is functioning and that it is safe for students and staff to return to the building.

Therefore, classes will resume as normal for Coble Middle School students and staff on Wednesday, Oct. 28. All before and after-school activities for Coble Middle School will also resume as planned.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we worked to resolve the issue.
