Man Shot During Garland Robbery

GARLAND (CBSDFW.COM) - A man was shot during a robbery in Garland early Friday. It happened shortly after midnight in the 1400 block of Maple Drive.
Police and paramedics arrived at the scene to find a man in his mid-20s with a single gunshot wound. The man's name has not been released. He was transported to Medical Center of Plano and is expected to be okay.
The victim's friend told police that they were walking along the street when they were approached by three black males in a dark-colored sedan. The men forced the victim to the ground and robbed him at gunpoint. One of the suspects then fired a shot.
The three suspects drove away from the scene. Police are now investigating the case and working to identify those three men.
